FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura will be among the top football delegates that will grace the inaugural Confederation of African Football ( CAF) Women's Champions League Cecafa qualifier finals in Nairobi.
The Football Kenya Federation in a statement said Samoura will be on a two-day visit in the country.
"We welcome the FIFA Secretary General to Kenya. We look forward to hosting her and engaging her about the development of the game in Kenya,” FKF president Nick Mwendwa said in a statement.
During her visit the FIFA executive will meet with the FKF President Nick Mwendwa.
According to the federation, Ms. Samoura will be accompanied by sarai Bareman, FIFA's Chief Women Football Officer.
Kenya's Vihiga Queen will face CBE FC of Ethiopia in the finals that will be played at the Nyayo Stadium on Thursday.
This is Samoura's maiden visit to Kenya since her appointment in 2016.
She is the first woman and the first African to hold the position of FIFA SG.
