Seven people have been arrested for allegedly profiteering from Covid-19 vaccines which are meant for the public as per the government's directive.
According to Health Principal Secretary Susan Mochache, the seven, who are accused of diverting and administering the vaccines illegally, will be charged in court.
Receiving additional doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from Canada, she said, “There are seven people who have already been arrested they will face the law, we are against vaccine profiteering as vaccines should be free for all.”
Mochache added that together with other relevant security agencies, the Ministry of Health will ensure that individuals taking advantage of the vaccination process, for political and personal purposes face the full force of the law.
