The father of fugitive police officer Caroline Jemutai Kangogo, Barnaba Kibor has maintained that her daughter took her own life, refuting claims that she might have been killed.
Speaking to a local news outlet, Mr. Kibor said any person who had a divergent opinion that suggests that Ms. Kangogo didn't commit suicide but instead was killed should prove.
" I don't want people to continue saying that my daughter was killed. If someone knows how she was murdered and by who should come out and tell us because what I saw is that my daughter took her own life," said Kibor.
The family which as challenged content found in a mobile phone that was recovered from the scene where the officer committed suicide now says it will not honour her cremation wish but will instead bury her in an ordinary Christian funeral ceremony on July 24, 2021.
Kangogo a suspected serial killer body was found in a pool of blood in their bathroom in Anin, Elgeyo Marakwet on Friday, July 16th.
Police claimed that the death by a single gunshot wound to the head was an apparent suicide.
Kibor, a retired police officer revealed that he had identified a Boda Boda rider who had dropped her daughter home the previous night before her body was found.
Kangongo is the main suspect in the murder of Police Constable John Ongweno in Nakuru and Peter Ndwiga in Thika.
