A Nairob businessman who was convicted of illegally harbouring nine Asian belly dances in the country has been sentneced to three years in prison.
Shaikh Furoan Hussain was on Tuesday found guilty of trafficking the belly dancers from Asia and harbouring them at his club in Parklands , Nairobi
The nine, eight from Nepal and one from Pakistan were arrested at Balle Balle Club.
In his ruling, Milimani Law Courts Magistrate Francis Andanyi stated that the prosecution had proved its case against Hussain beyond any reasonable doubt.
The businessman was convicted of harbouring the belly dancers at his establishment for purposes of exploitation and interfering with their travel documents.
