Former Icaciri Girls High School Principal Jane Muthoni will next month know her fate after a Nakuru High Court found her guilty of the brutal murder of her husband Solomon Mwangi.
The Prosecution in his final submission before Justice Joel Ngugi asked the court to hand Ms Muthoni and his co-accused Isaac Njoroge maximum sentence over the murder.
In her mitigation, Jane Muthoni pleaded with the court to hand her lenient sentence arguing that her family has gone through a traumatic experience.
Mr Mwangi, a former Principal of Kiru Boys High School was murdered and his body dumped at a coffee farm in Murang'a on November 11th, 2016 after being reported missing for five days.
The sentencing has been slated for June 3, 2021.
