The National Basketball Association (NBA) has eased the mask requirements for head coaches as the playoffs tip off on Saturday.
According to the Associated Press, fully vaccinated head coaches will not need to wear their masks during games, as per the memo sent by the league on Saturday.
However, during pregame, warm-ups, halftime and postgame, head coaches will still be required to wear masks.
Assistants and players on the bench will still be required to follow the existing masking protocols.
Despite the update, the testing protocols of the NBA remain in effect for coaches.
Various teams have increased capacity for fans during the playoffs.
After limiting attendance to 18 percent since March 20, the Milwaukee Bucks, who host the Miami Heat in a playoff opener on Saturday, are allowing 50 percent capacity in the post season.
With an arena holding 19,600 people, the Heat plan to allow 17,000 fans for Game 3 on Thursday.
