Kenya is set to roll out the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination exercise on Friday.
According to reports, the health ministry is expected to receive 72,000 vaccines doses out of 1,300,000 that was expected before the exercise kicks off from the COVAX facility.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, Health Cabinet Secretay Mutahi Kagwe stated that those who received their first jab in March, majority of whom are health care workers will be given priority.
The country is also expecting 30 million vaccine doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
As of Wednesday, 957,804 persons had been vaccinated against coronavirus in Kenya.
