The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission on Sunday said preparations for three by-elections in Rurii Ward in Nyandarua Country, Bonchari and Juja Parliamentary seats are complete.
IEBC acting CEO Marjan Hussein spoke after assessing the level of preparedness for the Juja parliamentary by-elections.
The commission announced that the campaigns period had ended at 6 pm on Saturday and that no candidates will be allowed to continue with any form of campaigns.
The two parliamentary seats in Bonchair and Juja fell vacant following the deaths of MPs Oyoo Oyioka and Francis Waititu(Wakapee) respectively
The Juja parliamentary seat race is between Waititu's widow Susan Waititu who is contesting on a Jubilee party ticket and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria's People Empowerment Party Candidate George Koimbiru.
In Bonchari 13 candidates will battle it out for the seat, among the key contenders include, Jubilee's Zebedeo Opore , Ex- EPRA boss Pavel Oimeke who is running on an ODM ticket and Oyioka's widow Teresa Bitutu who is contesting on a UDA ticket.
