Kenya has recorded 316 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 4,251 tested, bringing the total confirmed positive cases are now 163,554 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,719,289.
The current positivity rate is 7.4% which is a significant drop from yesterday's 12.4%.
From the new cases, 308 are Kenyans while 8 are foreigners and 204 are males while 112 are females.
The oldest case is is 89 years while the youngest is a four-month-old infant.
62 more patients have recovered from the disease, 39 from various health facilities countrywide, while 23 are from home-based and isolation care.
Total recoveries now stand at 111,191 of whom 80,558 are from Home Based Care and Isolation while 30,633 are from various health facilities.
Unfortunately, the cumulative fatalities stand at 2,895 as 12 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
Currently, a total of 1,099 patients are admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 6,290 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
From the 133 patients in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU), 27 are on ventilatory support, 81 on supplemental oxygen and 25 patients are on observation.
Another 102 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 96 of them in general wards and 6 in High Dependency Units
(HDU).
