USA:Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccination drive to be paused

Following the development of a rare disorder involving blood clots in six recipients Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine, the U.S. federal health agencies have recommended pausing it.

The cases will be reviewed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who will hold an advisory meeting on Wednesday.

All the six recipients were women between the ages of 18 and 48.

According to the New York times, one woman died and a second in Nebraska has been hospitalized in critical condition.
