Veteran Djibouti leader Ismail Omar Guelleh has been re-elected for a fifth term after winning Friday Presidential election with a landslide.
According to reports, Guelleh garnered more than 98% of the 177, 391 votes cast beating his rival his Zakaria Ismail Farah
Taking to his Twitter to celebrate his re-election Guelleh thank the residents of Djibouti for according him another term.
"Thank you for your trust, thank you for Djibouti! Let’s continue together!”
Other opposition parties boycotted the polls.
More than 200,000 voters we're registered to participate in the Friday election.
