COVID-19: Kenya records 486 new cases, 18 new fatalities

In the last 24 hours, Kenya has recorded 486 new Covid-19 cases out of a sample size of 4,134, making the positivity rate 11.8 percent.

Currently, the total number of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases is 145,670 while the total number of tests conducted is 1,561,838.

From the new cases, 23 are foreigners while 463 are Kenyans. 

208 are female while 278 are males and the youngest is a three-month-old infant while the oldest is 94- years old.

In the last 24 hours, 18 deaths have been reported thereby pushing the country's cumulative fatalities to 2,348.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 99,095 after  490 more patients recovered from the disease, 172 are from the Home-Based and Isolation Care, while 318 are from various health facilities.

A total of 1,660 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 5,994 patients are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
