President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced seven day period of national mourning in the country in honour of the late Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli who succumbed to heart complication on Wednesday.
President Kenyatta also directed that the Kenyan flag and that of the East African community to fly at half-mast in the Kenya diplomatic mission and public building Today March 18th until sunset on the day Magufuli will be laid to rest.
Addressing the nation from State House Nairobi, President Kenyatta mourned Magufuli eulogizing him as a illustrious leader who promoted pan Africanism.
Magufuli's death was confirmed by Tanzania's Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Wednesday night.
