After days of speculations over the whereabouts of Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, it's official the fifth Head of State of the United Republic of Tanzania is no more.
Confirming the tragic news, Tanzania's Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan announced president Magufuli succumbed to heart complication.
According to the Tanzania Constitution, the Vice President now takes over the remainder of the term.
This now means VP Samia Suluhu will become the first female President in Tanzania and the East African Community.
