Health Acting Director General Dr Patrick Amoth became the first person in Kenya to get the Covid-19 vaccine on Friday, March 5th at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi.
Amoth took the AstraZeneca-oxford jab as he was being filmed.
The head of the Ministry of Health Division for Vaccines and Immunization Programme (DVI), Dr. Collins Tabu was also vaccinated.
On Thursday, March 4, President Uhuru Kenyatta flagged off the vaccines, assuring Kenyans that they had passed all the necessary tests and were recommended by medical experts.
