Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has announced a four-month sabbatical break from national politics.
Addressing the press at his Nasianda home, Barasa said he was taking the break to ruminate on the political situation in the country.
Barasa allied to DP Ruto's Tanga Tanga faction said during the break he will direct his energies on the development projects in the Kimilili constituency.
He further said he would also use the break to foster Luhya Unity by bringing together all political bigwigs in the Western Region.
According to Barasa the region stand to lose in the 2022 General election unless they unite and speak in one voice.
