Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)2020 on Friday officially kicked off countrywide with the government dismissing claims of exam leakage.
Addressing the press shortly after overseeing distribution of KCSE papers in Kibra, State Department for Early Education and Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Jwan dismissed the leakage reports carried by a local daily affirming that the Intergrity of the exam is intact.
"For the next 4 weeks, we’re going to run the exams effectively the way we did with KCPE. I know there’s something on the headline of the papers today which we’ll be addressing later, ignore that. There is no exam that leaved, " he said.
Jwan further called on teachers to voluntarily receive the Covid-19 vaccine since they will interact with many people during the supervising of the examination and marking period.
At least 750,000 students are set to sit for this years KCSE exam .
