Comedian Vincent Mwasya popularly known as Chipukeezy has been elected the Vice-Chairperson of the National Authority of the Campaign Against Drug Abuse ( Nacada).
Chipukeezy will be succeeding Peterson Mwai whose term ended in December 2020.
"He (Chipukeezy) will be instrumental in steering the Authority’s mandate as he resonates well with the youth and young persons who are our critical target group for our prevention campaigns, " Said Nacada board chair Prof Mabel Imbuga.
Reacting to his win, Chipukeezy pledged to develop policies that will spearhead programmes in line with the state corporation whose mandate is to undertake publiccc education and awareness campaign against drug abuse especially among youths.
Chipukeezy was appointed the director of Nacada in June 2018.
