KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, Amani National Congress ( ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, his Wiper and Ford Kenya Counterpart Moses Wetangula have unveiled a new political alliance dubbed One Kenya Alliance.
Addressing the press at Serena Hotel in Nairobi the leaders termed their alliance as a fresh alternative to the current toxic politics.
"Today, we mark the beginning of a journey with a clear purpose to unite this country through a transformative agenda that seeks to create equal opportunities for all Kenyans. This alliance is a breath of fresh air from the toxic and divisive politics this country has witnessed in the recent past,” said Bungoma Senator Wetangula.
The leaders also condemned thethe ouster of Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala as Senate Deputy Minority leader terming the move as retaliatory towards their recent win in Matungu and Kabuchai by-elections
" We condemn the ouster of Senator Malala of Kakamega as deputy minority leader by a section of members without any consultation on matter's that should have been properly conversed, " added Wetangula.
The alliance firghrr announced that it won't be fielding a candidate in Bonchari parliamentary mini polls and Garissa Senatorial by-election but will Instead back Jubile Party candidates.
