Three suspects arrested for allegedly issuing fake clearance certificates

Three fraudsters have been arrested by

detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for allegedly printing and issuing fake police clearance certificates, identity cards and academic documents.

According to the detectives, George Kiplagat, Alex Kibet and Washington Omondi are among other fraudsters from a wider syndicate  defrauding unsuspecting Eldoret town residents. within Eldoret town and its environs.

The DCI stated that it is the only institution mandated to issue police clearance certificates. 

Therefore, any other clearance certificates issued elsewhere are considered null and void.
