President Kenyatta admits to watching Popular TV show, Selina

Popular actor and singer, Pascal Tokodi randomly bumped into President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday while having a walk along State House road and as Tokodi excitedly told him to watch the popular drama Selina, Uhuru said he had done so.

Tokodi blurted out his request after exchanging greetings with the Head of State.

“How are you, sir? Oh my goodness, have a good day. Ona Selina, ona Selina,” Tokodi said.

The President excitedly responded that he had watched the popular show which airs on Maisha Magic East.

Selina, in which Tokodi is one of the main actors, got a major PR boost after that as the video was widely shared across social media platforms.

In the video, the President can be seen walking alone without bodyguards.

However, a section of Kenyans attacked Tokodi questioning why he chose to ask the President about Selina.

According to the netizens, the youth and the country are facing many challenges that would have been important topics to ask the President about.

Comedian Dr Ofweneke commented, "Bro you only had one job “When are you stopping the curfew!!” But who are you?”

Tokodi defended himself saying that he had 15 seconds and all he wanted at that time was to promote his work.

He stated, “Truth is, I asked all these questions but the camera was off. I was very happy when he said he watches Selina. I thought I would use my 15 seconds to promote myself. It is a very beautiful day.”
