Moi Girls students' protest demanding Principal's removal

Moi Girls Eldoret students began a protest on Wednesday morning demanding the removal of the school Principal Christine Chumba.

Earlier Uasin Gishu County education officials had addressed the students when they had blocked the school gate for hours.

According to the high school students, the principal has been harassing them and subordinate staff.

They also claimed that the school head abolished entertainment and sporting activities.

The students also accused the principal of cutting down iconic trees that add to the beauty of the institution.

Furthermore, they showed their displeasure in eating cabbage and Ugali daily and the sacking of watchmen.

According to Uasin Gishu County Director of Education Gitonga Mbaka, the school board is deliberating on the issues raised by the learners.
