Ex-Machachari star comes clean on gay claims

Former Machachari actor Malik Lamuel ,popularly known as Govi, has refuted claims that he is gay as some netizens thought so after seeing a photo of him wearing heels. 

After being trolled for rocking the heels, Govi came out and set the record straight in a recent interview with comedian Jalang’o. 

He said that reactions of netizens shocked him completely and that he never intended to be labeled gay when posting the picture. 

The Machachari star added that his designer advised him to ‘switch things up’ and move away from the usual sneakers to heels for the sake of matching his all denim look.

Malik said, “We had a conversation with my designer, I told him to give me sneakers and he said no, let's show people what you are really made of. I’m turning and I look at my feet and I have the heels on. The photographer, Muma Pix has already started taking the pictures and saying how much it would sell. It is very funny that someone, in their right mind, can sit down and start saying I am gay."

"I’m the straightest man you will ever meet.  I never thought I can sit down and start having a conversation about me being gay. That is why I always tell my fans, you can accidentally find yourself in the middle of a mix-up, structured by people making showbiz, because when that hate and love mix, it becomes success,” he added.

After landing a new role on the famous show Kina, Malik is determined to make big strides in the film industry.
