Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has announced that 129 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while 3 more succumbed to the virus.
Currently, the total number of fatalities in the country stands at 1,779 while the total number of positive cases is 101,819.
The new cases are from 4,797 samples.
The CS said that from the new cases, 33 are foreigners while 96 are Kenyans and 60 are females while 69 are males. The oldest is aged 81 while the youngest is a one-year-old baby.
59 patients have recovered and have been discharged. 25 of them are from the health facilities in the country, and 34 are from the Home-Based care program.
The total recoveries now stand at 84,361.
On the other hand, 391 patients are admitted in various hospitals countrywide, while 1,378 are on Home-Based Care.
From the 37 patients that are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 are on ventilatory support while 18 are on supplemental oxygen and 4 are on observation.
Another 13 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen in the general wards.
