The bodies of a middle-aged woman, her 8-year-old son and a 35-year-old male adult were found lifeless by detectives at a house located in the government quarters on Jogoo Road.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that Charity Kemboi, an officer at the Registrar of Persons Office in Mathare, was found dead on the floor of her bedroom close to the lifeless body of her son. The two were holding onto their rosaries.
However, detectives found the body of the male adult, identified as Kevin, in the toilet with his hands and legs tied together using electric cables.
The detectives also said that there must have been a struggle before the victims met their painful deaths as the house was in a mess with clothes, shoes and bedding strewn all over the floor
The neighbors last saw the victims enter the house on Sunday after attending a church service, as per what they told investigators.
In a statement, the DCI said, “Whilst we are yet to make arrests or establish the motive of the killings, Scenes of Crime Investigators processed the scene & preserved it for further analysis by Homicide experts, who will undoubtedly resolve the murder & arrest the killers.”
The victims' bodies have been taken to the Chiromo Funeral Home awaiting autopsy.
