Award-winning Kenyan Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o has laughed off claims that Kenya has inaccessible for ambassadorial job.
Tourism CS Najib Balala claimed that the ministry had been trying to get in touch with her for five years but it was in vain.
Balala was defending the appointment of supermodel Naomi Campbell as Magical Kenya’s international ambassador
“I know everybody is asking why not Lupita. Lupita has commitments and her managers cannot allow us to access her. We’ve spent the last five years looking for Lupita,” Balala told the Nation.
However, on Friday, Lupita posted a picture of herself laughing off Balala's claims. She implied that claims were inaccurate.
"Me when I hear the Kenyan Ministry of Tourism has been looking for me for fives years. #Imrightherebaby #alternativefacts," Lupita tweeted.
Her comment attracted mixed reactions from netizens.
