Female celebrities slam KoT for body-shaming Kanze Dena

Media Personalities Joyce Gituro, Muthoni wa Mukiri and singer Wahu Kagwi among other celebrities have spoken up to show their support for State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena after
Kenyans on Twitter body-shamed her.

Gituro took to Twitter to encourage Kanze, her former colleague at the Royal Media Services, to ignore the naysayers.

“@kanzedena254 , you are a child of God, wonderful creation of the almighty, ignore the naysayers!” wrote Gituro.

Muthoni Mukiri, another media Personality, added that body-shaming needs to stop because it depicts illiteracy.

“Stop Body Shaming. It is shallow and illiterate...Aki Surely......,” added Mukiri.

Singer Wahu joined Kanze's supportive bandwagon and expressed her disappointment in women speaking badly against another woman who has just given birth. She noted that it needs to stop.

“Such a shame to see people (more so women) body-shaming a woman especially after she’s just given birth…we can do better guys… let's be better,” Wahu wrote.

The conversation follows Kanze Dena-Mararo's appearance on camera on Friday to deliver a statement on behalf of State House. It had been months since Kenyans saw her on camera as it was after she reportedly gave birth.

Netizens began having conversations regarding how her physical appearance had changed significantly during the time she was away from the public. Negative comments started streaming in online.

including DJ Soxxy also expressed their disappointment with those body-shaming Kanze and strongly denounced it.
