Two revellers have been charged with creating a disturbance within the premises of a hotel at Parklands.
On November 6, Neto Obunga and Lizz Nthenya allegedly blocked an exit gate of Concord Hotel by parking their Jeep across the gate, told off the hotel manager and hurled insults at the security guards.
The two found a car belonging to Concord owner broken down at the gate blocking the main exit while leaving a neighboring hotel which shares entry and exit gates with Concord Hotel.
They demanded that the stalled vehicle be towed and the main gate opened and refused to use an alternative gate that guards directed them to use.
After the guards opened for them the alternative gate, they drove to it after stalling but they blocked it instead of exiting, making both hotels inaccessible.
Neto and Lizz allegedly became arrogant and insulted the managers and security guards who tried to pursuade them to move.
The Concord hotel manager is said to have threatened them police action after they proved to be difficult.
Allegedly, the two suspects said they were untouchable because they work for a media company and they further claimed the hotel stands on a grabbed parcel of land.
However, in court, they denied the charges before senior resident magistrate Charles Mwaniki of Kibera law courts and were freed on a cash bail of Sh8,000.
Their case will be mentioned on December 8.
