Thirty-five people were on Friday arraigned in court in connection with fake COVID-19 certificates with 11 getting convicted.
According to insiders from the Ministry of Health, those arrested on Thursday with fake COVID-19 certificates have recorded statements with the police.
Among the things that investigators are seeking to unravel is the origin of the certificates and who could have issued them.
On Thursday, 21 Dubai-bound passengers were arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for presenting fake COVID-19 and yellow fever certificates.
During the operation conducted by port health officials from the Ministry of Health, the unsuspecting passengers were nabbed after their documents were subjected to special scanning
