Bien Aime of the Popular Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol has tested positive for coronavirus.
Speaking to a local news outlet , the lead vocalist confirmed that he tested positive for the novel virus further revealing that he is in isloation.
According to the singer he started having fever, joint aches and eye problems and thought it wise to seek medical attention.
“For the last couple of days, I have been indoors. I started feeling weak and so I decided since I was travelling to Uganda, I needed the tests done before. Only for me to test positive.”
The singer who is currently in self isolation further said “Coronavirus will get anyone so long as we do not adhere to the said measures.”
Unfortunately, contracting the virus has come with its own baggage especially financially as he complains of the expensive treatment bills he has had to foot and still is.
“I feel the treatment is very expensive even for me. I have used KSh 8k on medicine alone. Our healthcare system has not cushioned us. So once it gets to you, you may end up spending too much from your pockets. It could be worse since it could even kill you.
Bien's wife Chiki Kuruka' however, tested negative for the virus.
