Kenya's 27-year-old Peres Jepchirchir broke the her own record record in the women's half marathon Saturday with 1 hour, 5 minutes and 16 seconds.
Jepchirchir secured gold for winning the four-lap course in which she broke her own record by 18 seconds.
The female marathoner offset the record she had broken earlier in in Prague with 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 34 seconds.
In the World Athletics half marathon championships in Gdynia, POLAND, six women finished in under 66 minutes.
