Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia have appointed Brazilian tactician Roberto Oliveira as their new head coach.
According to K'Ogalo's official website, Roberto who previously coached Rwanda's Rayon Sports has 25 years of coaching experience and has been to several African countries as head coach, his native home in Brazil as well as the Middle East.
The appointment of Oliveira comes barely two days after British Coach Steven Pollack who led K'Ogalo in the 2019/20 season mutually parted ways with the club.
Announcing the appointment, Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier said " We are excited to announce the arrival of our new coach Roberto Oliveira from Brazil. He has had long coaching experience in Africa thus making him more conversant with Africa football, "
On his part, Roberto said he was glad to be offered the chance to coach the perennial KPL champs.
" After leaving Rayon Sports I got three offers to come back to Africa but i turned them down...When Gor Mahia came knocking i could turn it down because I like the club, " said Roberto.
