A Bangladesh court sentenced to death five men on Thursday for the 2012 gang rape of a 15 year old girl, amid growing public anger over rampant sexual violence.
The judgement was given in the Northern district of Tangailby, by a special tribunal set up to deal with cases of abuse against women and children.
"My boyfriend had taken me to a Riverside where I was raped by him and two friends. Later two others came and helped them. All were found guilty and have been sentenced to death," Prosecutor Nasim Ahmed told the Media.
