Olympic champion Ezekiel Kemboi endorses Raila for presidency

Double olympic champion Ezekiel Kemboi has endorsed Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga's bid for president.

Speaking during the coalition's rally in Huruma grounds in Uasin Gishu county, Kemboi who holds the 3000m steeplechase record said Raila is the best bet for the country.

"Mimi nimekuja hapa kama last born wa baba. Kwa majina naitwa Ezekiel Kemboi Amolo," he said.

Kemboi rallied on the youth to back Raila's bid asserting that his presence at the campaign meant that the issues of the youth will be prioritized.

"Mkiona niko hapa, maswala ya vijana yatashughulikiwa. Hamtakuwa mnapiga simu. Mimi mwenyewe nitakuwa nyumbani. Mi nitawakaribisha nyumbani." He added.

Raila led Azimio campaigns to Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate William Ruto's home turf of Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties on Sunday.
