Aukot was turned away by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Sunday after he failed to submit sufficient signatures of his supporters.
Confirming Aukot's disqualification ,IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati further stated that Aukot did not submit sufficient copies to the Identity cards of the 48,000 supporters who supported his presidential bid.
While to the press shortly after leaving Bomas of Kenya where he was presenting his nomination papers,Aukot protested his disqualification , saying that it is unrealistic to ask for all the ID copies of your supporters.
“No Kenyan is willing to give you his ID card to photocopy, let us be realistic. I’m even wondering where the cleared candidates got the photocopied ID cards of Kenyans from,” said Aukot.
He has now vowed to challenge his disqualification in court on Monday, June 6th.
