Kuresoi North Member of Parliament and National Assembly Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi is the latest high-profile politician to be defeated in the ongoing United Democratic Movement (UDA) party primaries.
Cheboi who is serving his third term in parliament was floored by Sirikwa MCA Alfred Mutai.
Mutai, a former charcoal dealer garnered 17,247 votes against Cheboi's 12,454.
Cheboi who was first elected in 2002, was seeking to serve for a fourth term.
He joins a growing list of seasoned politicians who include Soy MP Caleb Kositany, Ex-Devolution CS Charles Keter, Joseph Limo( Kipkelion East), Jayne Kihara ( Naivasha) and Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura who have lost in the party primaries.
