Bomet Senator Langat, MP Sossion dispute results, threaten to leave UDA

Bomet Senator Christopher Langat and nominated MP Wilson Sossion have threatened to leave United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party if their concerns are not addressed.

Senator Langat and Sossion who were eyeing the party ticket for the Senatorial seat have disputed the nomination results terming the process as a charade.

Speaking to the press in Bomet town, the two leaders threatened to stage a walkout from the party and contest for the seat as independent candidates.

" The people of Bomet will not accept a flowed process that will instill thieves in their office and one that is characterized by greed and personal intreste," said Sossion who called on the party to act swift.

According to results declared by the County Returning Officer on Friday, Nairobi based lawyer Hillary Sigei bagged  77,501 votes.

Dr. Langat garnered 65,006 votes while Sossion was third with 45,371 votes.
