Marjan Hussein Marjan has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC).
The electoral body Chairman Wafula Chebukati said the just-concluded recruitment process found Marjan as the most suitable candidate for the post.
Marjan was among five candidates who had been shortlisted for the post that fell vacant following the sacking of Ezra Chiloba over alleged gross misconduct.
Prior to his confirmation as IEBC CEO, Marjan held the post in an acting capacity since April 2019.
Other candidates who had been shortlisted include Nancy Wanjiku, Mabonga Joel, Zephaniah Okeyo and George Michugu.
