Gospel musician Reuben Kigame launches presidential bid in Luanda

Celebrated gospel musician Reuben Kigame has launched his presidential bid at his ancestral home in Bunyore, Vihiga County.

Kigame thereafter officially kicked off his campaigns for the top seat at the Musinaka Primary School.

Dozens of Luanda residents welcomed the Enda nasi famed singer in traditional songs and dance.

"A lot of people were saying that they heard I intend to vie for the top seat but had never seen me,"

“I am finally stepping out to visit the 47 counties and I am beginning in Vihiga County, Musinaka Primary School, where I actually vote,” he said.

Kigame declared his interests in succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta last year.

In a past interview with a local radio station, Kigame pledged to serve all Kenyans equally if elected president.

"I will be President for all. My priority would be to ask, have they eaten, do they have medicines, do they have jobs? They are first human before anything else," he told Spice FM in a past interview.
