Shinyalu Member of Parliament Justus Kizito was on Thursday afternoon arrested by police in Kakamega over alleged malicious damage to property.
Kizito was arrested outside Kakamega Law Courts alongside his driver and his associate.
In February this year, the MP and seven other individuals, are accused of having vandalised property owned by a local family, which is currently involved in a land tussle with Vikutsa primary school in Ileho area, Kakamega.
Confirming the arrest, Kakamega DCI boss James Lelia, a number of officers were injured while apprehending Kizito, who allegedly resisted arrest.
The MP is currently being held at Kakamega Police Station awaiting arraignment on Friday.
