Correctional Services Principal Secretary Zeinab Hussein has been moved to the State Department of Tourism in the latest mini reshuffle announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.
Her position will now be held by Tourism PS Safina Kwekwe.
Nairobi Metropolitan Services deputy Director-General Kang'ethe Thuku has been appointed Correctional Services Chief Administrative Secretary.
The Friday changes were contained in Executive Order No 7 of 2021 on the reorganization of the government.
The changes at the correctional department come in the wake of increased streamling of operations at the department following the recent cases of prison break that forced the Head of State to make changes that affected the whole government entity.
Last month Brigadier (Rtd.) John Kibaso Warioba was appointed as the Commissioner General of Prisons.
He replaced Wycliffe Ogalo.
