The National Assembly has approved the nomination of Ambassador Anthony Mwaniki Muchiri as Public Service Commission( PSC) Chairperson.
President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated Mr Mwaniki on November 15, 2021.
Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi conveyed the message from President Kenyatta to the House on November 25,2021 and referred the nominee’s name and curriculum vitae to the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security for vetting and reporting to the House in accordance with the provisions of standing order 45.
Muchiri currently serves as Kenya’s ambassador to Cuba.
Following his approval, he is now expected to replace Stephen Kirogo who died on May 14,2021.
