Three officers have been arrested and a manhunt launched after three suspects escaped from police cell at the Kilgoris Police Station on Saturday.
According to reports, the suspects; Shadrack Leparan, Enock Ndege and Patrick Mausa, escaped through a hole they created after dislodging bricks from the wall of their cell.
One of the suspect ,Leparan (29) was in custody for suspected murder while Ndege (28) was in the cell for theft .
According to the report, the three were among five suspects being held in the cell; the other two denied any knowledge of the escape upon probe.
The duty officer identified as Corporal Carlmax Okello, also said he did not hear the suspects escaping.
He has since been placed in lawful custody alongside two other officers; corporals Jalus Okoa and Andrew Bett.
They are expected to be arraigned in a Narok Court on Monday.
