Former Thika MP Alice Ng'ang'a joins UDA

Former Thika Town MP Alice Ng’ang’a has officially joined Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA)party in a bid to reclaim her seat which she lost in 2017.

Ng’ang’a officially joined Ruto’s camp on Saturday during the DP’s tour of the Kiambu County which saw him and his campaign trail pass through Thika, Ngoliba, Magogoni, Kilimambogo, Gatuanyaga and Makongeni.

"I am now officially in UDA and I'm ready to seek re-election as the MP for Thika. I will be returning here to ensure that our children from impoverished families get education like we used to do when I was in power," she said

In 2017, Ng’ang’a who vied for Thika’s MP seat on a Jubilee party ticket lost to the incumbent  Patrick Wainaina alias Jungle.

Jungle who is eyeing Kiambu gubernatorial seat on a UDA ticket  garnered 58,286 votes against Ng'ang'a's 50,115.
