The Football Kenya Federation( FKF)caretaker committee has suspended all national top-tier football leagues for two weeks to ensure the regularisation of activities across the country.
Among the leagues affected by the suspension include the FKF Premier League, National Super League(NSL) Divison one, and the Women's Premier League which was set to kick-off on November 13.
The Aaron Ringera led committee made the announcement shortly after meeting Sports CS Amina Mohamed who officially handed over the mandate to them
"Following a meeting of the Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee this (Friday) morning, it has been unanimously decided to suspend the leagues for a period of two weeks starting today the 12th of November 2021,”
“This decision has been reached to ensure regularisation of the league activities across the country. The committee will be engaging with clubs and other football stakeholders in due course,” read part of the statement from the committee.
However all grassroots football leagues will continue with their activities.
