Arrest warrant issued against MP Mohammed Ali

A Kwale Court has issued a warrant of arrest against Nyali MP Mohammed Ali over a surety he stood for a terror suspect.

This is after the suspect Noordin Hassan Abdallah alias Kamanda failed to appear in court on October 4th and November 1st.

Following the suspect's failure to show up in court, the MP was reportedly summoned by the court on October 4, 2021 but he also failed to honour the summon prompting the court to issue the arrest warrant.


Abdallah was charged with the offense of having radicalization materials vide case number 846/16.

Speaking to a local daily, the MP said that  he isn't not aware of the warrant of arrest issued.

"We went to court and the case was scheduled for hearing this month (October) on the 18. Is there a warrant I am not aware of ? I am not aware to be honest,” he stated.

The MP  further said that he was ready to cooperate with the authorities.
