Masten Milimo Wanjala, the self-confessed child serial killer, behind the murder of 13 minors has escaped from police custody.
Wanjala was being held at the Jogoo Road Police Station in Nairobi where he escaped.
According to a police report, It is the officer on duty on Wednesday at 7am who noticed that Wanjala was missing.
"This was noticed when they were taking over the report office and cell sentry duties. They informed the D/ocs who was in the report office minuting cases in the OB,” reads the report.
“The deputy OCS informed the OCPD Buruburu and raised alarm and the area was combed inorder to re-arrest the prisoner.”
It remains unclear how the 20-year-old suspect who was set to appear in court today to take plea vanished from the police custody.
