KTDA boss Lerionka Tiampati resigns

Lerionka Tiampati the longest-serving Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Tea Development Authority (KTDA) has resigned.


In a statement , on Friday KTDA said Mr. Tiampati opted for an early exit.


His resignation comes barely there months since he was sent on compulsory leave by the KTDA board.

Mr. Tiampati was suspended on June 20th alongside five other officials to allow investigation into their conduct.


The five others included include Company Secretary John Omanga, Managing Director Alfred Njagi, Finance and Strategy Director Benson Ngari and ICT General Manager David Mbugua.


Mr. Tiampati joined the agency in 2004 from Kenya Tea Packers Ltd( Ketepa) a subsidiary of KTDA.


Following his suspension, Wilson Muthaura was appointed as KTDA CEO in an acting capacity.
