Paris Saint Germain have confirmed the signing of Lionel Messi on a free transfer with the Argentine penning a two-year deal with the French side.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner has been a free agent since the end of June and had agreed to an extension of his contract with the Catalan club but the club later ruled out of any possibilities to extend the star's stay at the club citing financial constraints.
The 34-year-old will earn £33 million person plus a hefty free signing fee , one that has been touted as one of a kind in European football.
The Argentine will were jersey number 30 and will reunite with former Barca teammate Neymar and his compatriot Angel Di Maria.
