Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has defended Deputy President William Ruto after his security was downscale by the government.
Speaking at a church service at Redeemed Gospel Church, Pipeline, Kalonzo asserted that security and right to life is unnegotiable and the government should do everything to ensure all Kenyans are secured.
He said, "Everybody is guaranteed security and right to life is non-negotiable. Let us not cross the redline."
"As a nation we cannot go back to the days when we hear of political assassinations," the Wiper leader added.
However, on Wednesday, Kalonzo walked to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters on Kiambu Road, Nairobi, to clear his name over an accusation of grabbing land in Yatta, Machakos county.
DP Ruto had accused him of grabbing the land from the National Youth Service.
The Wiper leader threatened to take legal action against him for what he alleged was character assassination. He went further to ask Ruto to resign if he has a conscience.
